Mission Beach & Playa San Benito - 'Somewhere near Tapachula'

The below is a collection of random surfing shots and shots of the kids at the beach.

There are two main breaks that we surf, San Benito or this other little rock wall that Petrina and I call Mission  Beach.  San Benito breaks when the surf  at the other lttle rock wall (Mission Beach) is over 4 or 6 foot so it has broken only once since we have been here.  N.B. the main Mex surf season is mid year.  The waves at the little rock wall (Mission Beach) are pretty heavy and really sucky, whereas the larger rock wall at San  Benito creates a more cruisy wave that allows more turns but can get big!

Moacir, Mission Beach

Griselda, Mission Beach

A small one got through without Moacir on it, rare.

Mo again.  This time of year this is the standard wave...... small but oh so fun.

Mr Zeledon (Mo) again
Same dude, same spot but this photo taken from a rock ledge rather than the water
A sunday beach day with a baby doll recieved at Christmas - they couldn't possibly leave it back at the house for a few hours(-:
When the waves out the back are powerful, it allows the younger ones (like Jimmy here, 6 years) to learn in the shore break.
Junior, 4 years, having fun.  His only other mood is tantrum...
Mo, after a few too many Frijholes.  Actually after a big wipe out.  No need for undies in Mex!!

Angel, 12-ish.  Couldn't resist to take this photo!

Angel again

...and again

Muy tranquilo.... (translated to Aussie  ''hows the serenity?''!)

Nobody bothered to re-build after a typhoon a few years ago

Welcome to the beach!
